Varda is a public transport app for Antalya. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. This policy explains exactly what data the app uses and why.
If you allow location access, Varda uses your device's location to:
To show nearby stops and plan journeys, the app sends your approximate position (latitude and longitude) to the Varda server together with the request. During an active trip that you start yourself, the app keeps receiving your location while the phone is locked (iOS shows the blue location indicator; Android shows a notification while the trip is followed). Tracking stops as soon as the trip ends. You can use Varda without location access. The app then starts from Antalya city centre.
What you type in search, and the destination you choose, is sent to the Varda server to find stops, lines and journeys. On iOS, place search also uses Apple Maps, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. On Android, an address you look up is resolved by the device's built-in geocoder, which is provided by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Arrival alerts and trip updates are scheduled on your device as local notifications and, on iOS, Live Activities. On Android, an ongoing notification is shown while a trip is followed. We do not collect a push token or send marketing notifications.
Preferences and active alerts are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
